BROOMFIELD, Colo. –
Wednesday is Bike to Work Day. The annual event is part of Colorado Bike Month.
Bike to Work Day represents a grassroots effort by cities, counties, transportation planners, community organizations and others across the state to educate commuters about the benefits of using two wheels to get to work, according to a statement from its sponsor, the Denver Regional Council of Governments.
Businesses and organizations will man more than 100 breakfast stations throughout the Denver area, at which riders can take a break and get some food.
In Broomfield, Boy Scout Troop 337 and Golden Bear Bikes will host a breakfast station at Sheridan and Midway boulevards. Golden Bear Bikes will host a station at its store, 290 Nickel St., and 36 Commuting Solutions is sponsoring a station at 280 Interlocken Blvd.
