Troop 337 Historian Report – March 2025
Troop 337 Historian Report – March 2025
March 4th – Court of Honor
All scouts, regardless of whether or not they were recognized, were required to attend and celebrate each other’s accomplishments at the March Court of Honor. We had to wear our full Class A uniforms including Class A shirt, long jeans or scout pants, merit badge sash, neckerchief & slide, and closed toed shoes. It was a nice celebration of different Scouts’ achievements.
– Broomfield FISH Cooking Oil Donations
We did a great job of collecting and donating oil to Broomfield FISH. Thanks to all the scouts for your support and to Rishi for his birthday wish!
– Greater Colorado Council Investment in Character
A 2025 Investment in Character Annual Fundraising Campaign presentation was made during the Court of Honor. Supporting Greater Colorado Council’s Investment in Character Campaign helps send Scouts to summer camp within the Greater Colorado Council and provides Scout experiences for youth all throughout Colorado. Thank you for your donations!

March 11th – Troop Meeting
Patrols had to research a topic and give a 5-minute presentation. For those working on their Communication Merit Badge, this was one of the requirements. At the end of the meeting, we had a vote for the best presentation. The winner was a presentation about hotdogs.
Saturday, March 15th – Spring Introduction to Leadership Skills for Troops (ILST)
Activity Following Training: Empty Quiver Archery
This was a one-day training event which was mandatory for all scouts elected to the Spring/Summer 2025 PLC and to any scout attending NYLT this summer. This was also optional to any members of the 2024 PLC who were unable to attend training. There was a group activity at Empty Quiver Archery after training was completed.

Saturday, March 22nd – Farmer’s High Line Canal Clean-Up Project
Troop 337 did a great job helping out the City of Northglenn by picking up trash near the canal. The city provided lunch for volunteers before the project wrapped up. This was a perfect service project for hardworking scouts looking to complete service hours for ranking up, wanting to do their good turn daily, and making sure our communities look like a tidy and nice place to live.

March 25th – Troop Meeting
Scouts worked on making structures with ropes and poles. A picture was taken of each groups structure after it was finished.

March 28th – Hank Fries Eagle Project
Reach Church Broomfield
Scouts built two different types of benches for Reach Church. There were cinderblock benches that were mainly built by older scouts. There were also wooden benches, which were mainly built by younger scouts. The project was not fully completed during the first meetings, so Hank will be coordinating another event to finish his Eagle Project!
