Troop 337 Historian Report – July 2025
July 1st – Troop Meeting
Dutch oven cooking and game night.
Scouts brought games to play with their patrols while a couple of Scouts made a tasty treat in the Dutch ovens. A couple of Scouts worked on helping some younger Scouts get a Tenderfoot requirement signed off.

July 8th – Troop Meeting
Model Patrol Meeting.
Patrol Meetings.
Scouts learned how to conduct a proper patrol meeting and then held one. Scouts also worked on knots with a knot relay to test their skills.
July 13th – Flying Turtles Patrol Activity – Citizenship in Society Merit Badge Class
The Flying Turtles Patrol got together with a merit badge counselor and got the Citizenship In Society Merit Badge! It was fun and the Scouts were very productive.

July 19th – BUMC Clean-Up Service Project
9:00am – 11:00am
In July, once again our Troop worked to give back to the church that generously supports our troop. Helping with grounds clean-up was a great way to show our appreciation for everything they provide: our meeting space, gear storage, and a place for our trailers. The Scouts took on the job of clearing out the old weed barriers and leveling the soil of two different islands!

July 21st – 28th – Troop 337 High Adventure Trip – Philmont!
Some of our First Class and higher ranked Scouts went on a high adventure trip to the Philmont Scout Ranch. They got to experience lots of outdoor activities and long hikes. It looks like they had a really good time.

July 22nd – Troop Meeting
Meal planning for Camp Patiya and planning for the patrol night on the 29th. Scouts who were not going on the campout worked on selecting a fun patrol activity.
July 29th – Troop/Patrol Activity Night
On this night patrols were free to participate in a fun activity together. All of the scouts were interested in gaming activity. Here is where the patrols went:
Flying Turtles – Activate Westminster
Other Patrols – Akihabara (Retro Arcade)
The scouts had a great time! Overall, it was a pretty fun night!
