Troop 337 Historian Report – August 2025

August 1st – 3rd – August Campout – Camp Patiya

Scouts love to go to Camp Patiya because it is close to home.

They got a lot of rank
requirements done at this campout, and they did a community Service Project where
they pulled weeds around the GaGa Ball pit. It was a great idea to combine a service
project with camping! Scouts also did a cook-off competition and a campfire.

August 5th – Troop Meeting

Scouts worked on skills such as first aid and cooking, which helped them get some rank requirements signed off.

August 12th – Troop Meeting

The troop held a relay race outside that involved the skills that Scouts reviewed during the last week’s meeting, including cooking, first aid, and knots.

August 16th – Eagle Court of Honor – Lucas Goebel and Jack Jeffries

Congratulations to Lucas Goebel and Jack Jeffries, the two newest Eagle Scouts of Troop 337! It was a very good ceremony and a lot of fun to celebrate their accomplishments.

August 19th – PLC Meeting

On this night, Lance hosted the last PLC meeting of the Spring and Summer term. The outgoing leaders did a very good job in their roles. Congratulations to all of them!

August 26th – Troop Elections

Troop elections for the Fall / Winter term were at the end of this month and there were some exciting new positions to check out! The elected Scouts are:

August 30th – BUMC Clean-Up Service Project

The BUMC clean-up service project is an important way of giving back to the church that generously supports our Troop. And that is exactly what our Scouts did! They did a great job of cleaning up and helping the church, which supports us in so many ways (offering meeting space, gear storage, and a place for our trailers).
