Troop 337 Historian Report – December 2025

Troop 337 Historian Report – December 2025

December 2nd – Court of Honor

A Court of Honor is where Scouts and parents come to celebrate the achievements of other Scouts. Even if your scout has not ranked up, or earned a merit badge, they should attend to celebrate their fellow scout’s achievements. At this Court of Honor, Scouts earned a lot of Merit Badges and Rank advancements, and afterward, we had a bunch of food for everyone to enjoy. We had a chance to thank and congratulate Ms. Kinnin, Mr. Jeffries, and Mr. Lampo for many years of dedicated service as they transitioned to retirement from the Troop.  Thank you all so much!

– Scouts brought donations of cooking oil to help Broomfield FISH.  Broomfield FISH counts on our Troop to provide cooking oil for the cooking oil shelf we have adopted.  The shelf typically runs out in one day, so we need to help replenish it often!
– There was a Scout closet that had lots of Scout related clothing that Scouts could choose from at a 100% discount!

December 6th – Community Service Project – Pack 545 Pancake Breakfast

During this service project, our Troop helped Pack 545 with a fun event supporting their Pancake Breakfast Fundraiser that raises money for the Broomfield Rotary, which is helping us build a great connection with Pack 545. We prepared sausage and pancakes for the Cub Scouts to serve to the tables.

December 6th – Valley District Merit Badge College, Front Range Community College

The Valley District sponsors a Merit Badge College, where Scouts can go and participate in fun activities to earn Merit Badges! A lot of Scouts from our Troop attended, but unfortunately, this conflicted with the pancake breakfast, so a lot of Scouts could not attend or had to arrive late.

December 12th – 14th – Cherry Creek Shootout Campout

At this campout, we had some fun shooting activities to participate in! So, Scouts enjoyed moderate weather and had some fun shooting! And a special thanks to Mr. Morrell and Dylan for coming back to help us with this campout!

December 13th – Wreaths Across America Service Project

Wreaths Across America is a program where cemeteries all across America lay wreaths on this day to honor military veterans that gave their lives for our country. And lucky for us, our Troop gets to lay wreaths at our very own Broomfield County Commons Cemetery! This service project is invite only, for the Scouts that have the most service hours. The experience is very moving, and a great way to honor local veterans. This year, the weather was extremely windy and dusty, but we didn’t let that stop us!

December 16th – PLC Meeting

PLC Is our monthly meeting where Scouts that hold a leadership position and ASM’s come together to plan the meetings for the following month. We planned a lot of fun for 2026!
