1boxWhite or Yellow Cake Mix
32ozFruit Pie Fillingup to 48 oz
1stickButter
Instructions
Pour the fruit (with syrup) into a Dutch oven.
Sprinkle the cake mix over the fruit. DO NOT STIR.
Dot the top of the cake mix with butter.
Place the lid on the Dutch oven, then place the Dutch oven on top of 6-8 hot charcoal briquettes. Put 15-18 hot charcoal briquettes on the top of the Dutch oven and bake for about 30 minutes. It’s done when you can insert a toothpick into the topping and it comes out clean.
